The race rules are outlined in the entry form.

For this years swim we will be using electronic timing for the first time which is being managed by H Events who have a wealth of experience in timing many different events. To improve safety for all entrants upon arrival at Coal point all competitors must enter the competition area (crossing an electronic recording mat) on the shoreline wearing their electronic band, this area will be clearly marked. Failure to enter this area & crossing the recording mat will result in disqualification. After entering this area swimmers may enter the water.

The race start will be in the water.

This year have a different boat to provide transport from the Jetty in the registrations area to the jetty at Coal Point. This will be much more convenient for all competitors as you will be able to board and depart the boat close to the registrations and competition start area. The boat will depart at 7:15am, 7:40am and 8:00am
