Swansea Belmont Buttercups win 2010 ASRL Open Under 23 Women’s Australian Title. In testing windy and raining conditions and at times large seas which saw the competition moved from Wollongong City Beach to Sandy Point, the Buttercups triumphed over several more fancied crews from around the country to win the title. The crew which consists of Kathleen Richards, Bronte Elvin, Rachel Brokenshire and Rebecca Davies are rowing their first season together, and under the guidance of sweep and mentor Dean Elvin have had some outstanding results so far. Our other crew to compete at ASRL was The Troughlollies, who were unluckily knocked out of the competition by the smallest of margins in the semi finals. Well done girls, and boys, and good luck at State.
